Lorin is the son of William Vaughn Jones and Isabelle Leavitt. He married Ferral Leavitt on Feb. 28,1947 in Veyo, Washington Co., Utah. They are the parents of Russell Lorin, Melvin Royce, Kevin Vaughn, and Kristine. He was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints bearing a humble testimony and giving hours of willing service. He passed away at his home after a courageous battle with cancer.
