Peter was the oldest child of Minatery Washington Black and Sarah Cartwright Black. He served in the 12th Tn Batt,Calvary. Co D, CSA. One report states he became a POW. Unconfirmed at this time.
Wife was Mary C. Moore. Children: George W, William R, Fannie E, Robert Lee, Carmelia, Vianna, Mary V. Sarah E, Oscar (AM).
Known living relative through Robert Lee is Barbara Lockhart. He is my Great Uncle. Brother to Alexander, Alexander is my g-grandfather.
