Mr. Young was born Jan 6, 1935 in Indianapolis, Indiana to his parents Leonard Sr. and Grace Marie (Denison) Young. He died August 15, 1998 in Claremore, Okla.
Mr Young attended the Missouri Military Academy in Mexico, Missouri.He joined the Marines in 1952 and transferred to United States Coast Guard in 1956. He transferred to the United States Air Force in 1962, retiring in 1974. Leonard married Florence Bevis on Feb. 16, 1962 in Pardogon, Indiana. He enjoyed gunsmithing, fishing, hunting and play pinochle. Leonard loved to play pool with his son-in law, and was working on being a pool shark. He was a life long member of the Sallisaw V.F.W., Muskogee DAV and the Air Force Retired Sergeants Association.
Mr Young was preceeded in death by his father. Survivors include his mother, Grace Marie Young, of Sebring, Fl. his wife Florence of the home; one daughter Lorri Hillman and her husband Joe of Dallas, Tx; and many other relatives as well as a host of friends and loved ones.
