MOLALLA- June Duncan, 81, died Wednesday.
She was born in Sac City, Iowa, and moved from California to Salem in 1948. She was an accounting clerk for the state of Oregon. In 1981 she retired and moved to the Scotts Mills area, where she operated a rescue kennel for dogs. She enjoyed roses, gardening and reading Nero Wolfe mysteries. She was a member of Jason Lee Methodist Church.
Survivors include her son, Jim of Scotts Mills; daughter, judy Duncan of Molalla; sister, Margaret Penniman of Aumsville; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Interment will be private. Arrangements are by Unger Funeral Chapel in Silverton. Contributions: Alzheimer's Association or Willamette Valley Hospice.
