Willie E. Walkup Succumbs At 68
ALDERSON (RNS) - Willie Elmer Walkup, 68, of Alderson died Wednesday morning in a Hinton hospital after a long illness.
He was a retired carpenter and farmer and a member of the Blue Sulphur Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife Bonnie, at home; two daughters, Mrs. Ruth Bragg of Chicago, Ill. and Mrs. Carol Reed of Alderson; three sons, Billy Joe, Bobby and Jeffrey, all of Alderson; three sisters, Mrs. Zinna Hunter of Rupert, Mrs. Delta Shortridge of Crawley and Mrs. Mabel Bennett of Smoot; one brother, Wyatt of Alderson, and three grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the Maude Chapel Methodist Church at Dawson with Rev. Rex Ball in charge. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The body is at the Jack Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg where friends may call after 1 p.m. today.
