Mike was employed with Bud Kouts for 26 years leaving to go work for Boy Scouts of American running Camp Kiwanis. Retiring from Mason Public Schools in 2011 after 6 years of service. He loved being outside, his family, and just helping anyone that needed his help.
Mike was preceded in death by his father Leo.
He is survived by his wife, Star, daughters Faylynn and Kelsey Ames, his mother Marion Ames, three brothers, and several nieces and nephews.
He was a wonderful father, husband and true friend.
A Memorial Service was held on Friday, February 10, 2012 at the Mason Community Church, Mason with Pastor Steve Malson officiating.
