George W. Barley was the son of John Barley and Frances Bryant. The deceased was born in Warren County, April 20, 1853, and was thus one of our pioneer citizens. He was married to Miss Fannie Elmore of Troy, April 28, 1883. To this union five children, two daughters and three sons were born.
He had been suffering from the fatal disease, cancer and a short time before his death was taken to St. Joseph Hospital, at St. Charles, Missouri, where he died. He is survived by his wife and all his children.
