WINNIE FAYE SLENTZ died Wednesday, Sept. ll, 1991 at the Platte County Memorial Hospital in Wheatland, Wyoming following a sudden illness. Funeral services for Winnie Faye Slentz, 74, were
held Saturday, Sept. 14, 1991, at 10 a.m. at the United Church of Christ in Wheatland, with the Rev. Dr.James S. Vuocolo of the United Church of Christ, and Pastor Mark Patzke of the Covenant Lutheran Church officiating. Internment followed in the Wheatland Cemetery.

She was born in Hempstead, Tex., on Dec. 17, 1916,
the daughter of Willis and Grace(Shappaugh)Crouch.
She was reared and educated in Texas, and graduated from Alvin (Tex;) High School. She attended business school in Houston, Tex., for two years, and then worked in Houston for several years.

She was married to Robert M. Slentz on Nov. 12,
1944 in Houston. They moved to Wichita, Kans., and
lived in other various communities in Kansas because of Bob's work. She worked as the chief clerk of the election board in Clay County, Mo., for 20 years. They lived in Kansas City, Mo., for 29 years, and then moved to Wheatland on April 1, 1980, where she resided until the time of her death. She was active in the Republican Party.

She was a member of the Platte County Hospital
Auxiliary, the United Church of Christ, and the Daughters of the Nile Marathon Bridge Club. She enjoyed playing bridge, doing needle work, reading, traveling and watching the news.

She is survived by her husband, Bob, of Wheatland,
and her daughter and son-in-law, Sharyn and Jim Geringer of Wheatland.

Two sisters, Alyce Bock of Bryan, Tex., and Viola
Crouch of Alvin, Tex., two brothers, Willis Crouch of Freeport, Tex., and Robert Crouch of Loveland, Co1o.,five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also remain.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one
brother, John David Crouch.
Serving as pallbearers were Dave Patterson, Rick
Geringer, Emie Brammer, Bill Vines, Jeff Billing and Bob Seidel.

A memorial to the Platte County Memorial Hospital
Auxiliary or to the United Church of Christ would be equally appreciated by the family. The Platte Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
