Irene Katherine Lang, of Ventura, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Jan. 22, 2012, at the age of 71 after a long illness. She was born Jan. 27, 1940, in Massachusetts to Winfield and Irene Lang.
She is survived by her children, David and wife Sylvia, and Mark Cates of Oxnard, Daniel Cannon of Ventura and Tonya Leikem of Nevada, Donald Lang of Bakersfield, David Lang of Palo Alto, Margarite and Lloyd Lowrie of Minnesota; her grandchildren, Ashley, Carina, Autumn, Amber; great-grandson, Dennis; and multiple nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her sister, Nancy Lang. Irene found great joy in caring for others.
She worked hard as a psych tech, foster mother, top salesperson for Avon, daycare provider and volunteer in the community. Her family and friends will miss her deeply.
Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 26, with a ceremony at 11 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 27, at the Perez Family Funeral Home, 1347 Del Norte Rd., Camarillo.
