Charles Reginald Barnhill
(May 2, 1937 - February 3, 2012)

Charles Reginald Barnhill, born May 2, 1937, passed from this life February 3, 2012, in Rapides Regional Medical Center.
He served 23 years in the United States Marine Corps and work 18 years in the oilfield as a mechanic. He received numerous awards and medals while serving his country but the greatest of all were his children and grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him and will always be remembered as a good friend and father of unconditional love.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 6, 2012 at Rockhill Undenominated Church of Rockhill with Reverend Randall Walker officiating. Interment will be in Big Creek Cemetery, Pollock, under the direction of Hixson Brothers, Alexandria.

The family asks that friends call after 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 5, 2012 and Monday, from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at the church.

Pallbearers honored to serve are Willie Roberts, Shane Spears, Scott Bloodworth, Adrian Bell, Charlie McClaugherty and Colby Mitchell

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Joyce Barnhill; daughter, Stephanie Huntsberry and husband Jonathon; sons, Matthew Barnhill and Michael Barnhill; three granddaughters, Morgan Barnhill, Kallee Ashmore, and Emma Shackleford; grandson, Cainan Lamkin; 7 sisters; Bobbye Watts and husband Charlie, Kaye Barnhill, Barbara Snody and husband John, Bernice Carpenter and husband Jessie, Becky Valley and husband Roy, Gail Pickard and husband Gary, Sybil Grice and husband Billy and Nell Johnson and husband Rusty; 4 brothers, James Barnhill and wife Nancy, Johnny Barnhill and wife Nita, Leo Barnhill and wife Gayle and Robert Barnhill and wife Bobbye; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father, A. D. Barnhill and wife Dorothy and his mother, Arlone Barnhill and husband Luke; one sister, Billy Jean Barnhill and two brothers, Billy Elijah Barnhill and Lonnie Barnhill.
