Grace Edna Ammons Ritter, 90, died Monday, May 8, 2000, at Cone Extended Care Center.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 12, 2000, at Newlyn Street United Methodist Church, where she was a member, conducted by the Rev. Mike Collins and the Rev. Bill Bigham. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
She was born Oct. 4, 1909, in Greensboro, to John Henry Ammons and Alice Senora Turner Ammons. She was retired from Cone Mills White Oak Plant. Many will remember the beautiful quilts she made at home and sold. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Lee Ritter and son-in-law, Robert M. McAdoo.
Survivors are her son, Jacky B. Ritter Sr. and wife, Patsy; daughter, Doris R. McAdoo; grandchildren, Pam Young and husband, Jim, Lynne Herndon and husband, Eddie, the Rev. J. Bruce Ritter Jr. and wife, Mary, Jonathan Ritter and wife, Krista and Juliana and husband, the Rev. Charles Russell.
