She was born September 27, 1931 at Monroe, Oklahoma to the late Clyde and Eurania Kieffer Barnes.
Jaunita was a member of the Jesus Name Church in Plainview. Jaunita enjoyed sewing, cooking, working puzzles, camping, and volunteering at her local food pantries.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, John Hogan and Jack Buckman; one daughter, Dianna Kay Smith; brothers and sisters-in-laws, Alfred Barnes, Monroe Barnes, Charles Barnes (Julian), A.C. Barnes (Retha).
Survivors include her two children, Ricky Hogan (Debbie) of Carthage, Texas and Jackie Jill Yates (Billy) of Plainview; two stepchildren, Rhonda Kendall of Russellville and Craig Buckman of Greenwood; two sisters, Edith Burrows (Buddy) of Hartford and Florence Seely of Mansfield; two brothers, Clarence Barnes (Phyllis) of Wichita, Kansas and Dean Barnes (Anna Lee) of Hartford; eight grandchildren, Rusty Hanna (Amanda) of Pangburn, Kacie Hanna of Searcy, Jennifer Gary (Jason) Carthage, Texas, Jeremy Hogan (Cassie) of Kountze, Texas, Ady May Yates of Conway, Cort Ranzie Yates of Conway, Becca Davis of Beckville, Texas and Jesse Yates (Morgan) of Rogers; ten great grandchildren, Payton, Paige, Logan, Landon, Hunter, Macy, Jayce, Jackson, Jenna and Emmi; two great-great grandchildren, Arlie and Parker.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, December 13, 2021 at Jesus Name Church in Plainview with Bro. Stacy Lisenbey officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Sunday, December 12, 2021 at Jesus Name Church in Plainview. Burial will be in Havana Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jeremy Hogan, Cort Yates, Jason Gary, Jackson Gary, Hunter Davis, Rusty Hanna, Logan Jones, Landon Jones and Jesse Yates.
