"Floyd C. Perry, a highly respected and life-long resident of the town of Maryland, passed away at home on Main street in this village Saturday evening at 6:15, after an illness of over two years. Born at Elk Creek October 30, 1857, he was the last surviving of a family of four children, born to Flavel W. Perry and Ann C. Prindle. On December 22, 1880, he married Libbie M. Cornish at Westville. Two children were born to them, Mrs. Flora L. Chase, and Burrell F. Perry. Surviving, beside the widow and two children, are four grandchildren, Paul P. and Edna Chase, Alberta and Dean Richard Perry; also several nieces and nephews. Mr. Perry had spent practically all his life in farming until twelve years ago when the family moved to Schenevus. Since early boyhood he had been a member of the M. E. church and served for many years on the official board. He had also served as Sunday School Superintendent of the M. E. church at Elk Creek. He was a member of Manaho Lodge, No. 905, I. O. O.
