Former Aurora Resident Dies

Evans Wheeler Mosher, 86, prominent resident of the Town of Ledyard and banker of the Village of Aurora as well as leader in town and village activities, died Sunday, September 7 in the Wilshire Hospital at Pasadena, Calif.

Mr. Mosher was the son of Allen and Marion I. Mosher and was born at Poplar Ridge April 30, 1865. He was connected with the First National Bank at Aurora since 1861 as cashier, vice-president and director. He was treasurer and trustee of Wells College at Aurora. He served in the Board of Supervisors representing the Town of Ledyard.

Mr. Mosher is survived by his wife, Grace Mosher of Pasadena; a sister, Mrs. May Powell Falrchild of New York City; three sons, Ray Mosher of Coronada Beach, Calif., Allen Mosher of Detroit and Ralph Mosher of Aurora; five grandchildren: Evans Wheeler Mosher II , Marilyn Mosher and Ralph Mosher,Jr., of Aurora; Allen Mosher and Anne Louis Mosher of Coronado Beach, Calif.

Funeral services were held at Pasadena.
