Anna is listed in the Daughter's of the American Revolution as being descended from Sgt. William Clay. Anna was the daughter of Lieut. Clement Comer Clay Greene, C. S. A. and Mary Frances Goodwin. Clement was the son of Alston Hunter Greene and Cynthia Clay. Cynthia was the daughter of William Clay and Rebecca Comer.

William Clay, (1760-1841). was placed on the pension roll of Pennsylvania, 1832, for sen-ice as private and sergeant in the Virginia troops. He was born in Chesterfield Co., Va., and died in Granger Co., Tenn.

Anna and Forrest Greene Sr. had four children.
