Mayhan, Constance Frances, 77, of 4901 Kingswood Dr., Greensboro, NC died Friday, Feb. 27, 2004 at Wesley Long Hospital. The funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Rolla, MO with burial to follow at Rolla Cemetery.
Mrs. Mayhan was born in St. Louis, MO, on March 25, 1926 to the late Peter and Josephine Recupero. Mrs. Mayhan studied mathematics at Harris Teachers College. She married and selflessly dedicated herself to her family. Mrs. Mayhan later worked for 18 years in the accounting department of the City of Rolla. She was a dedicated baseball fan who loved her Cardinals. She also enjoyed flowers, reading, movies, game shows and cats.
She was preceded in death by her son, Michael T. Mayhan and is survived by her children, daughter Christine L. Bottom and husband, Carey B. Bottom of Greensboro, NC, son Mark K. Mayhan and wife, Ronda A. Mayhan of Jefferson City, MO, son Matthew G. Mayhan and wife, Connie J. Mayhan of Springfield, MO; her sisters and brothers, Louise Recupero, Ann Boll, Victor Recupero of St. Louis, MO and Peter Recupero of Wilmington, NC; her grandsons and granddaughters, Jessica Crow, Shawn Bottom, Maggie Mayhan, Collin Mayhan and Emily Mayhan.
The family extends special thanks to the Medical Teams in ICU and Oncology at Wesley Long Hospital for their excellent care during her illness. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Hanes-Lineberry N. Elm St. Chapel is assisting the family.
