BELOVED WOMAN PASSES AWAY
The death of Mrs. Nannie Sandidge Briscoe, wife of Mr. Jerry Briscoe, which occurred at her late home, near Moreland in Lincoln county, at 6:30 o'clock this morning, will, cause sorrow to many in this county and to everyone who had the pleasure of her acquaintance. She was the daughter of the late Mr. M. M. Sandidge and Ella Dunn Sandidge, was a member of the Christian church and had been from her early childhood. She was a true and sincere Christian, one of the most lovable women in Kentucky. She was never happier than when making sacrifices for others. She was a noble woman, a lover of home, a true friend. She was devoted to her husband and his heart is crushed and bleeding over this dispensation of Providence. Though he and all who knew her know that death must have been a relief to the good woman, who had suffered so intensely from a malignant trouble of two years.
The husband, while now bowed down in sorrow, has the blessed assurance that everything that medical skill could do, was done, to prolong her life and relieve her terrible suffering, she was houspital to the Danville and Boyle County Hospital to undergo two operations and all that human hands could do failed to bring relief and she sank to the end.
She is survived by her husband, an adopted son, Mr. Clifton Briscoe Sandidge, of this county, and three brothers, Messrs. B, C., Farris F., and M. M. Sandidge, all of Lincoln county. The deepest sympathy goes out to them in these hours of dire distress. The funeral will be conducted at the home tomorrow (Wednesday) at 10 a. m. by Eld. Geo. W. Mills. Interment at the old Sandidge burying ground.
