Wylma was born on Aug. 21, 1907, in Marion County, Mo., the daughter of the late William and Alma Hutcherson Lake. She received her education in Quincy.
On Aug. 5, 1935, she married Roy R. Smaus in Salmon, Idaho.
Wylma was a homemaker and worked as a retail clerk. She enjoyed working with ceramics and porcelain painting. She was a charter member of the Bitterroot Art Guild and a member of the Federated Church.
Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Susan Smaus; grandchildren Robert Smaus Jr., Kathy Fields, Carole Smaus and Karen Anderson; and four great-grandchildren, all of Hamilton.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Roy, son Robert "Bill," two brothers and one sister.
No formal service is planned; private family urn placement will take place at a later date.
The family suggests memorials to Bitterroot Art Guild or to the charity of the donor's choice.
Arrangements are under the care of the Daly-Leach Chapel in Hamilton."
