Dies in Crash
Greenwood, Miss, Nov 6. -(AP)-
Aviation Cadet William . Hait, 24,
died in the crash of his basic training
plane near Cruger field today.
Hait was on a routine solo training flight. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Euroda W. Hait, 925 Poplar street, Missoula, Mont.
Entering the army on January 4, 1942, at Missoula, Cadet Hait joined an air corps unit in the Caribbean April 2, 1942, and to the rank of sergeant August 15, 1942.
In April 1943, he returned from duty in Puerto Rico to attend an aviation cadet school.
Cadet Hait was born on April 4, 1919, at Wasta, S.D. and is the son of Mrs. J.J. Mock, 625 Poplar street, Missoula. He was graduated in 1936 from Missoula County high school and he also attended Montana State University.
