Jay Adler, 88, Thursday, Feb. 1, 1990, at Ingalls Memorial Hospital, Harvey, IL, born and raised in Joliet IL, a resident of Beverly HIlls for 45 years, owned and operated Mickelberry's Log Cabin Restaurant 1933-78, 2300 W. 95th St. Chicago, member and Past Vice President of the Illinois Thoroughbred Breeders Association, member of the Kentucky Colonel and member of the Civil War Round Table, loving husband of Lois of South Holland; beloved father of Jim (Lois) of Streamwood, Jay (Sharon) of Cary and Lois Ann (George) Marovich of South Holland; grandfather of 13, great-grandfather of four; brother of two; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; preceded in death by parents, two sisters and three brothers. Visitation Monday, Feb. 5 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., at the Fed C. Dames Funeral Home, 251 N. Center St., Joliet, followed by funeral services 10:30 a.m. Mass St. John Catholic Church, 11 a.m. Interment Mount Olivet Cemetery, Joliet. 815-726-5211.
