Clarence Body
Clarence W. Body, 89, of the Sheldon Residence Home, Sheldon, and a long time resident of the Woodland and Watseka areas died at 5:30 am, Monday, March 2, 1981 at Iroquios Memorial Hospital. He had been hospitalized for four weeks.
He was born May 3, 1891 at the Body farm near Woodland to William and Lillian Halsey Body. He married Florence E. Sears on May 3, 1913 at Danville. She died Nov. 9, 1956. On March 19, 1958, he married Jesse Bailey at Watseka. She died March 25, 1973.
Surviving are a daughter Lois Body of Springfield; a sister, Mildred French of Largo, Florida; eight nephews; and four nieces, including Lorranie Edwards of Watseka.
Mr. Body had farmed for many years near Woodland until his retirement. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Watseka.
Services will be held at 10:30 am Wednesday at DeValk Funeral Home, Watseka witb the Rev. Hubert Lytle officiating. Burial will be in Body Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3 to 5 pm and 7 to 9 pm at the funeral home.
Memorial may be made to the Heart Fund.
