"She was born Nikki Darlene Kading on July 13, 1951, the daughter of D. C. Kading and Velma Jean Ray Kading. She grew up in Coleman, where she attended school. In 1968 she married Rick Higgins and moved to Abilene where she graduated from Abilene High School. They later divorced and she married Edwine Reynolds in 1979 in Buffalo Gap. He preceded her in death on February 1, 2011.
"She moved to Bastrop in 1980 where she owned and operated Nikki's Services, a home health business. She was also a team truck driver with her husband. He preceded her in death on February 1, 2011.
"Survivors include four children, Brandi Higgins of Bastrop, Kocoa Higgins of Coleman, Jeffrey Higgins of Bastrop and Ashanti Reynolds of Coleman; eight grandchildren, Brady, Dakota, Luke, Brenen, Mark, Myka, Gracee and Deven; sister-in-law, Lana Kading of Coleman.
"She will be loved and missed by her family and friends.
"In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Ronny Kading."
