Harold V. Abbott, 89, husband of the late Evelyn (Lyons)Abbott, died Saturday after a short illness. He was a dairyman at H.P. Hood Cherry Hill Farm for 35 years, before his retirement.
Born in Forbes Point, Nova Scotia, son of the late Robert and Ida Abbott, he lived in Beverly , Mass. most of his life. He was a member of the Beverly Grange and the H.P. Hood Quarter Century Club.
Surviving him are two sons, Gordon V. Abbott of Beverly and H. Clifford Abbott of Spencer, N.Y.; also several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services at the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot St., Beverly, Wednesday, at 11 a.m. Burial in North Beverly Cemetery.
