Memorial services for Elizabeth Apgar Pensa, 88, will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday February 10, 2012 at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Dale Weldon officiating. Visitation will follow in the church narthex. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, 6952 St. Andrews Road, Columbia, SC 29063. Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel is assisting the family.
Ms. Pensa passed away Sunday February 5, 2012. Born in Whitehouse, NJ, she was a daughter of the late Marcus and Hedwig Thomas Apgar. She was a member of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, a US Navy Veteran, retired civil service employee at Fort Jackson and was a loving mother and grandmother.
Survivors include sons, Rick (Pat) Pensa, Marc (Betty) Pensa, and Bart (Wanda) Pensa, grandchildren, Troy Pensa, Kelley Fladger, Erin Munkacsy, Jason Pensa, Grant Pensa, Katherine Pensa and Zach Pensa, also 1 great-grandchild.
She was predeceased by her son, Karl J. Pensa, her parents, and sister, Nellie Koedam.
