Harold E. "Buddy" Bowman, age 74, of Mount Lena, MD, died Wednesday, October 3, 2007 at his home.
Born February 9, 1933 in Boonsboro, he was the son of Charlotte Mae Schildt Bowman of Boonsboro and the late Ira Glenn Bowman.
He retired in 1998 from the Washington County Board of Education after 25 years of service.
He was a veteran of the United States Army.
He was a member of Beaver Creek Christian Church.
He was a member of Elks Lodge 378 in Hagerstown.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Lorraine Reeder Bowman, whom he married June 16, 1956; one son, Mark A. Bowman of Mt. Lena; one uncle; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one son, David W. Bowman.
Graveside services will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, at Boonsboro Cemetery. The Rev. J. Mark Curran will officiate.
There will be no viewing or visitation.
