MIDDLETON – Alvin H. Gust, age 76, died on Friday, August 31, 1990. He was born on December 24, 1913, in Verona. Mr. Gust had farmed in the Ridgeway area for many years and had worked for Oscar Mayer Company for 26 years. Alvin was married to the former Edna Nelson on February 12, 1938. He was a member of Middleton Community Church.
Survivors are five children, Gerald (Mary) Gust of Middleton, Joyce (Leo) Endres of Madison, Judy (Frank) Wilkins of Madison, Jackie (Denny) Wipperfurth of Middleton and Jill (Mike) Frazier of Madison; a son-in-law, Hilton Arneson of Barneveld; a sister, Dorothy (George) Kurth of Madison; a brother, Lester Gust of Madison; 22 grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife. Edna in 1989; a daughter. Janet Arneson in 1973; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the MIDDLETON COMMUNITY CHURCH, UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST, 6604 Elmwood Avenue at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 5, 1990, with Reverend Joanne Thomson officiating. Burial will be in Eastside Cemetery in Ridgeway at 12:00 noon on Wednesday. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 4, 1990, at the GRUBER-GUNDERSON FUNERAL HOME, 7432 Elmwood Avenue, Middleton.
