Daniel Clifford ALBER, 61, R.R. 1, Lucerne, died at 4:05 a.m. Sunday in the Home hospital in Lafayette where he was admitted last October. He had been ill six months. He was born Oct. 26, 1914 in Wayne township to Daniel and Margaret Jane DILL ALBER. His marriage was Jan. 17, 1937 in Rochester to Annabelle WALTERS. She was a lifetime resident of Fulton and Cass counties. He was engaged in farming and also was a machinist with the Nelson Screw Products company of Logansport. He was a member of the Fletchers Lake United Methodist church, Fulton Masonic lodge 665, Fulton Order of Eastern Star and the Scottish Rite at South Bend. Surviving with his wife are one daughter, Mrs. Phillip (Margaret Ann) RENTSCHLER, Fulton; two granddaughters, Cindy and Karen RENTSCHLER; two brothers, Calvin [ALBER], Walton, and Terry [ALBER], of South Bend; four sisters, Mrs. Roy (Jaunita) BOWMAN, Long Beach, Ca.; Mrs. George (Mary) ALLEN, West Los Angeles, Cal.; Mrs. B. G. (Winfred) CHITWOOD and Miss Nina ALBER, both of Los Angeles, Cal. A daughter and one brother preceded in death. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Ditmire-Zimmerman funeral home in Fulton. The Rev. David ALEXANDER will officiate. Burial will be in the Fulton Citizens cemetery. The Fulton Masonic lodge will assist in officiating at the services. Friends may call at the funeral home. The family has requested that memorials other than flowers be made to one's favorite charity.
