She retired from K-mart and from Burger King twice within 42 years of service. She enjoyed ceramics and loved flowers and her family. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Jacksonville. Survivors include her husband: Henry Weeks, Sr. of Jacksonville; 2 sons: Henry Weeks, Jr. of Jacksonville; Steven M. Weeks (Andrea) of Cosby TN; 2 Daughters: Janet Batten (Chuck Smith) of Jacksonville; Jackie Edwards of Jacksonville; 9 Grandchildren; 1 Great-grandchild, 2 Sisters; 5 Brothers and many Nieces, Nephews and other relatives. Pallbearers: Chuck Smith, John Decicco, Keith Krause, Tom Parker, and Brandon Hardy. The family will receive friends Friday, February 25, 2011 at Nassau Funeral Home from 6 until 8 PM and request in lieu of flowers donations be made to Community Hospice of N.E. Florida, 4266 Sunbeam Rd., Jacksonville, Florida 32257 or the American Lung Association, 6852 Belfort Oaks Pl., Jacksonville, Florida 32216. Funeral services will be Saturday, February 26, 2011 at Anchor Church of God, Callahan at 2:00 PM with Rev. David Collins officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Jacksonville, Florida.
