Two Toronto airmen were killed, along with two crew-members, four civilians and eight R.C.A.F. personnel who were travelling as passengers aboard the giant R.A.F. ferry command plane which crashed into an open field shortly after taking off from Montreal Monday afternoon.
....At the time of the crash the men were on their way to Labrador, where they had been posted as radio operators.
