GEORGE W. STALCUP
George Washington Stalcup, a 75 year old retired farmer, died about noon Friday at his home south of Lentner. He had not been in good health during the past year, and made a rapid decline in the past two weeks. Heart complications caused his death.
The son of James Thomas and Mary A. Byars Stalcup, he was born January 24, 1863, in Shelby county, where he has spent his entire life, in both the Shelbina and Lentner vicinities.
Surviving relatives are his widow, formerly Sarah Alice Kimbel, to whom he was married on Sept. 28, 1891, and a daughter, Mrs. Elsie M. Bryden of Oklahoma City, Okla. A son, Marion Floyd, died at the age of 5 month and five days.
Funeral services conducted by Rev. R. M. Webdell, who was assisted by Rev. I. S. Atterberry, were held at three o'clock Saturday afternoon at the Oak Ridge church, south of Lentner.

Shelbina, Mo., Aug. 28.—G. W. Stalcup, 75, died Friday afternoon at his home near Oak Ridge. He had been ill a year or more and suffered a stroke of paralysis Thursday morning.
The funeral was held Saturday afternoon at 3 o'clock in the Oak Ridge church near here, in charge of the Rev. Mr. Webdell, pastor of the Baptist church at Shelbina. Mr. Stalcup leaves his widow and a daughter, Mrs. L. C. Bradden of Oklahoma City.
