Emil Henry Margheim

Services for Emil Henry Margheim, 84, who died in Wheatland, March 22, 1989, were held Monday, March 27, 1989, at 2:00 P.M. in the Platte Funeral chapel with Pastor Donald Freeman officiating.
Born September 30, 1904, in Wa Kenney, Kansas, he was the son of Fred and Katherine (Deines) Margheim. He was reared and attended school in Kansas. He and Elsie Wilhelm were married in Casper in 1940. In 1941 they moved to California where he worked in the shipyards during the war. In 1947 they moved to Wheatland to live until 1950 when they moved to Salt Lake City, Utah. In 1963 they returned to California where again he worked as a welder until 1968 at which time he became manager of a mobile home park. Upon his retirement in 1980 they returned to Wheatland to spend his retirement years.
Besides his wife, Elsie Margheim, of Wheatland, he is survived by a son Jack, also of Wheatland, a step-daughter, Gwen Marshall, of Salt Lake City, Six sisters, Alma Deines of Thornton, Colorado, Viola Deines of Aurora, Colorado, Hanna Flagler and Eisabla Stieben, both of WaKenney, Sansas, Elizabeth Stieben of Bazine, Kansas, Elsie Mileham of Loveland, Colorado; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial contributions in his name may be made to the Platte County Memorial Hospital.
Burial was in the Wheatland Cemetery with Jake Wilhelm, Allen Wilhelm, George Bauer, Jr., Kenneth Bauer, Barry Wilhelm and Grady Karriker serving as pallbearers.
Platte Funeral Chapel of Wheatland was in charge of arrangements.
