LENA MOLBERG, FORMERLY OF MAQUON, DIES AT 103
GALESBURG - Lena Foster Molberg, 103, of 470 Irwin St., formerly of Maquon, died at 3:37 a.m. Thursday, May 4, 2000, at Knox County Nursing Home in Knoxville.
Born Oct. 24, 1896, in Hermon to John and Fie Duprey Thurman, she married Homer Foster on Nov. 19, 1914. He died June 8, 1965. She later married Fred Molberg in 1969 in Galesburg. He died July 11, 1982. Five sisters and nine brothers also preceded her in death. Surviving are two daughters, Evelyn Wasson of Vancouver, Wash., and Mrs. Robert (Lorraine) McDonald of Calimesa, Calif.; three sons, Dean Foster of New Windsor, Dale Foster of Galesburg and Rolland Foster of Maquon; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and nine great-greatgrandchildren. She was a cook in the cafeteria at Maquon Grade School. She was of the Protestant faith. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at United Methodist Church in Maquon, where visitation will be one hour before. The Rev. Jeremy Hensen will officiate. Burial will be in Maquon Cemetery. Memorials may be made to United Methodist Church in Maquon.
