Obituary:
CHARLES B. BASS
RITES SET SATURDAY
Charles B. Bass, 69, a former Ulman merchant and
postmaster died at St. Mary's Hospital in Jefferson
City Wednesday (Feb. 8, 1956) after an illness of
several weeks. He entered the hospital last Christmas
Day and had been a patient there since that time.
Mr. Bass was born in Miller County Oct. 17, 1886, the
son of the late Isaac Talbert and Maggie Bass.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday
at the Ulman Christian Church with the Rev. John
Jenkins officiating. Burial will be in the Hickory Point
Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lestie Bass, one son,
Emil Bass of the home, one daughter Mrs. Pauline
Barnett of Kansas City, Kansas and one grandson.
