Married farmer, the son of Joseph F. and Sarah D. Allen, he born VA and she born TN, who died after a lingering illness with TB, contracted while in the service during the world war.

Survived by his wife Nettie, two sons and one daughter (4 mos old), his father and several brothers and sisters, all of Ennis.

Son James Marion died in April; surviving children were Joseph E. born abt 1920 and Mary M. born abt 1922.
