TEXAS CITY — Adrian D. Celli, 91, of Texas City, passed away Sunday, September 21, 2008, at his residence.
Funeral Mass will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 24, 2008, at Queen of Peace Catholic Church in La Marque with Msgr. Joseph Culver as Celebrant. Entombment will follow the service at Galveston Memorial Park in Hitchcock.
Adrian's family will receive visitors from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 23rd, at Queen of Peace Catholic Church in La Marque, with a Vigil Service to be held at 7:15 p.m., led by Msgr. Joseph Culver.
Adrian was born August 27, 1917, in Lucca, Italy, and came to Galveston at age 11. He was a resident of Galveston County ever since. Adrian served in the U.S. Army during World War II and worked with his two brothers in the family business in Galveston for many years.
Adrian is survived by his wife, Faye Celli; daughter Debbie Stamps and husband, Don, of Lawton, OK; sister, Lilly Celli Barsotti; four grandchildren; dear niece, Diane Dear and husband, Seymour; nieces, Schel Heydenburg and Susan Widmor; three nephews in Italy: Raeffeallo, Adriano, and Francisco Giorgetti; and great nephews, Bradford and Barton Dear.
Pallbearers will be Renato Dell'Osso, Seymour Dear, Don Stamps and Tom Williams.
The family wishes to extend special thanks to Hospice Care Team, Inc., of Texas City for their compassionate care during this difficult time.
