George H. Pelvit, 88, Wyndmere, died Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2002, in the Minnesota Veterans Home, Fergus Falls.
Mr. Pelvit was born July 23, 1914, in Wyndmere, where he grew up and attended school. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1937 and served with the Pacific Fleet during World War II until his discharge in 1945. He married Mildred Sanden in 1947. They farmed near Wyndmere and he also worked for Orvin Sanden Construction for many years. After retiring from farming he drove a school bus for 15 years. He had recently moved to the veterans home.
He is survived by his wife; a son, and two grandchildren.
