A.D. Caton, aged 78, died at his home at River Falls, Monday night after a brief illness.

Mr. Caton is survived by his widow and nine children. He was an honored citizen of this county and an ex confederate soldier, having served four years in this war.

Funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon from Long Branch church, Conecuh county, after which interment was made in the Long Branch cemetery.
