Mrs. Dessie Mary Hafer Clay, widow of the late Samuel Clay, died on Friday at her home on North Earl street (sic), with death caused by complications. She was 75 years old.

Born on September 26, 1871, she was the daughter of the late Zacharias and Rebecca Crider Hafer. She was a member of the Messiah Evangelical United Brethren Church.

She is survived by the following brothers and sisters: John R. Hafer of Lansdale, Earl C. Hafer of Glenside; Mrs. S.G. Snoke of Glenside, Mrs. Dorothy Duey of Hagerstown, and Mrs. M.O. Mathias of New Cumberland.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the J. Beattie Barbour funeral home, with the Rev. Edgar E. Spatz officiating. Burial will be in the Spring Hill cemetery (sic). Friends were invited to visit the funeral home on Monday evening from 7 to 9 o'clock.
