Mrs. Curtis died Tuesday in a Wills Point nursing home after a long illness.
She was born April 27, 1899, near the Cedar Grove Community, Wills Point. She was a lifelong resident of Wills Point and a member of the Russell Memorial United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary Curtis Horton, Dallas, and Jean Curtis Allred, Garland; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Terry Wright, Brian Wright, Bill Allred, Phillip Pouncey, Thomas Ray, Jerry Ray and Charles Curtis, Jr.
COUPLE OBSERVE 50TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY
On April 14, 1918 Rev. Jones performed the wedding ceremony which united Carl and Rhetta Lindhorst Curtis
at Union Ridge in Upshur County. Mrs. Mary Horton and Mrs. Jean Wright, daughters, honored their parents at a reception at the Russell Memorial United Methodist Church
on Sunday, April 21, 1968.
