He was the son of the late Fabian J. and Catherine Miller Staub.
Mr. Staub owned and operated the Bonneauville Inn for 34 years and retired in 1980.
His memberships included: St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, Bonneauville; Fraternal Order of the Eagles, 2226, Littlestown; Catholic War Veterans 1342, Republican Club of Hanover; Bonneauville Fire Company, and the Loyal Order of the Moose, 1526, Gettysburg.
He was the husband of the late Minnie Mae Menges Staub, who departed this life in 1996, and is survived hy two sons, Raymond M. Staub and Charles J. Staub, both from Gettysburg; one stepson, Glenn R. Menges, New Oxford; one daughter, Emma M. Olphin, Hanover; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one brother, Norman Staub, Gettysburg, and one sister, Delores Kuhn, New Oxford.
He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Charles L. Staub, Francis V. Staub, and Robert Staub; two sisters, Marie Lawrence and Mary Lawrence.
