A. Warren Herrigel of Eugene died Feb. 7 of a heart attack. He was 77. Herrigel was born July 7, 1926, in Newark, N.J., to Arthur and Marie Dippel Herrigel. He married Anne Brennan in Orange, N.J., on May 28, 1949. She later died. He lived in Clinton, N.J., from 1950 until 1980 and settled in this area 20 years ago. He served in the Navy on the USS Koiner during World War II. He graduated from Rutgers Law School and was admitted to the bar in 1949. He worked as a lawyer until 1972, when he became a judge of the Superior Court of New Jersey in Hunterdon County. He was a member of the American Bar Association, the New Jersey State Bar Association and the Supreme Court Bar. His interests included political discourse and computers. He enjoyed reading and painting. Survivors include four daughters, Lynn Greenwood of Eugene, Sue Quinn of Richmond, Wash., Jill Owen of Seattle and JoAnn Herrigel of Portland; two brothers, Glenn of New Providence, N.J., and Bruce of Clinton; and seven grandchildren. No service is planned. Poole-Larsen Funeral Home in Eugene is in charge of arrangements.
