He was a Naval Veteran of WWII and an Air Force Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He retired from the US Navy Reserves after thirty years of service.
Surviving are four children, P. David Weyandt, Jr. husband of Gail R. (Gromis), Cathy Jean wife of Michael Zadlo, Gary Robert Weyandt, Lance Allen Weyandt husband of Donna (Beirman) and Brent Laury Weyandt (deceased)
