ABBOTT, Ruth Elnore (Leonard) 90, of Springfield, passed away on Sunday, February 12, 2012. Ruth was born November 22, 1921, the daughter of Russell and Margaret Hazel (Rae) Leonard. She is survived by two daughters, Betty (Steve) Silver and Patricia (Forrest) Hamilton, one granddaughter Barbara Haller, and other relatives. Ruth graduated from Lawrenceville High School and retired from Sears with 18 years of service. She was a member of the North Hampton Community Church. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Lawrence in 2011, her parents, and brother Harold Leonard. Ruth would like to thank Dr. Ravi Khanna and his staff at the Springfield Regional Cancer Center for their 25 years of care. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2012 at 1 PM at the Terre Haute Cemetery, Terre Haute, Ohio. Arrangements by the Trostel, Chapman, Dunbar & Fraley Funeral Home, New Carlisle, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to the North Hampton Community Church, P.O.
