Miss Katie, as family called her, was never married. She was confined to a wheelchair as she could not walk. Her adult life was spent in Pawhuska where she lived next door to the Catholic Church. They built a ramp for her to be able to go into the church. Her mother was Rebecca Shaw McMahon and her father was John J. McMahon. Her mother died when she was young. She lived with her father until his death. Her grandparents Sarah Shotwell and Strother Neal Shaw are also buried in this cemetery. There also are many of the Shaw grandchildren that are also buried in this same cemetery. All of her extended family loved her dearly.
