Ginny was born Shirley Virginia Elenora ( nee Greene) on April Fool's Day of 1928, to the late Charles Nelson Greene & Alma; AKA Betsy (nee Buchanan) Greene Gouge. Their family was formerly from Avery County, NC. Moving to Stark County, OH about 1925.
She was the 2nd to the last of their eight children. 3 daughters Geneva Wilson (adopted by Charles) Edna Greene Sanford, Ginny and 5 sons... Cecil, Raymond, Frank (died infant) Richard & Stuart.
She was the wife of Carl Raymond Datko and the Mother of 4 children. Together they had 3 daughters and 1 son... Barbara (Living) Carla (Datko) Lash (Deceased),stillborn son, and Susan (Living.) She has 5 Grandchildren, and many Great Grandchildren. She was a retiree of the Hoover Sweeper Company;formerly of N.Canton, OH. She was also the second wife of Cleo "Webb" Porter; of the KY PORTERS.
Ginny loved her family both those who proceeded her and those she had the fortune of knowing and loving through the duration of her lifetime. She had many enjoyments beyond her family; Organ playing, singing, poetry writing, sketching, fishing, story-telling,cooking, and Rose gardening.
She was much loved and left that most important legacy to those who knew her best.
