Born Jan. 9,1898 in Russell County, he was the son of Lou Ann Alley Simpson and Louis Franklin Simpson. He was married Sept. 3, 1918 in Russell Springs to the former Sarah Bray who preceded him in death.
Survivors include three sons, Arley Simpson, Atlanta, Ga., Orville and Eugene Simpson both of Somerset, four daughters, Lou Hewitt and Diane Murray, both of Panama City, Fla., Carolyn Thompson, Somerset, and Ruth New, Bronston, two brothers, Josh Alley Simpson, Edmonton, and George Milton Simpson, Louisville, several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Two brothers and two sisters proceded him in death.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow at Somerset Undertaking Company with the Rev. Kenneth Sanders officiating. Burial will be in Ringgold Cemetery. Visitation will begin after 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.
