A. H. Arnold has a CSA pension app on line in the GA archives virtual vault. He gives date of birth as 9 March 1832 and says he enlisted with Co. K of the 60th GA. On July 9, 1864 at the Battle of Monecosa River, Maryland, he was wounded in his right side. The bullet hit a rib, his hip and injured his spine. He had little use of his right leg and had become blind in his right side. He was able to do very little work and needed help.
