He was a clerk and later worked for the road commission (23 years). He never married. He served in WW II US Army in the European theater. He never married. He did have a girlfriend, but while he was serving in the war, his mother constantly called the girl friend. When Clarence was discharged the girlfriend would not speak to him. He would drive to the corner grocery store and let me buy all the candy that I wanted. The day before his death my dad asked him if he was going to church. Guess Uncle Web wasn’t a church goer. And Web said I won’t be here. My dad then asked him if he was going fishing again Web said I won’t be here. Gary and DennisWedding (sons of Ernie Wedding) spent that night with Uncle Web and Dennis was the one who found him dead the next morning. He was buried May 6, 1959 at Forest Lawn, Saginaw, MI.
