Rev. Otis Snow was a second career Pastor in the Western North Carolina Conference of the United Methodist Church. He served as a Lay Speaker in many churches in the northern Iredell County area. He joined the annual conference in 1992 and became the Lay Pastor of the Snow Cree-Moss Chapel Charge in the Harmony Area. He served these churches for seven years. He was then appointed to Memorial United Methodist Church in Kannapolis where he served from 1999 to 2007. Following retirement he continued to serve as an Associate Pastor at Clarksbury Church in the Harmony community. While at Clarksbury he served on the Church Building Team, a member of the choir and the church Administrative Board. Rev. Snow was also a volunteer reader at the Harmony Elementary School. He was the director of the Methodist Motorsport Ministry for ten years.
Rev. Snow was the son of J.B. and Billie Donaldson Snow.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Kecil Reeves and Annie Lou Martin, and two brothers, J.L. Snow and James "Dick" Snow. Otis is survived by his wife of 46 years, Joetta McMahon Snow, whom he married on Oct. 24, 1965; three daughters, Tracy Plott of Harmony, Susan Snow (Maclain Bryant) of Winston-Salem, and Lori Snow of Statesville; two grandchildren, Leah Harrelson (Evan) of Hudson and Evan Plott of Harmony; a great-granddaughter, Carley Harrelson of Hudson; two sisters, Fannie Gaither (Wilbur) of Harmony and Julia Tomberlin of Texas; and three brothers, S.T. Snow (Ruth) of Mocksville and Gene Snow and Leroy Snow (Betty), both of Harmony.
