On April 19, 1871, she was married to Micajah VanWinkle, of Franklin, and following their marriage, they resided on a farm east of Waverly in Sangamon County. In 1914 they moved to Waverly where Mrs. VanWinkle had since resided.
Her husband died Dec. 23, 1930, and two daughters, Cora and Leona, also preceded her in death. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Lela Funk and Miss Eunice VanWinkle, both at home.
Mrs. VanWinkle was the oldest member of the First Methodist Church of Waverly and the Waverly Rebekah lodge.
The body was removed to the Neece Funeral Home and will be taken to the residence Friday morning. At 1 p.m. Sunday the body will be removed to the Methodist Church where services will be held at 2 p.m., Rev. Bronson Smith officiating. Members of the Rebakah lodge will attend the services in a body. Burial will be in Waverly East Cemetery.
